New Standard D-25
The New Standard D-25 was a five-seat agricultural and joy-riding aircraft produced in the US from 1928. Development Designed by Charles H. Day, the D-25 was developed from his four-passenger D-24 which was equipped with a Hispano-Suiza E eight-cylinder radial engine and built in Paterson, New Jersey. This was underpowered, and production switched to a Wright J-5 engine, the new model being renamed the D-25. It received its type certificate (No.108) in February 1929. The retail price was $9,750. Some of the existing D-24s were converted to D-25 specification, including one by its owner, famous barnstormer Johnny Miller. Construction The D-25 was constructed primarily from Duralumin and wood. Duralumin stringers were used for the fuselage, with duralumin sheets riveted onto them. Unlike the fuselage, the wings were mostly of wood, with a main spar made of spruce, basswood for the stringers, and plywood for reinforcement, along with fabric coverings for the wing area and co ...

The NewStandard
''The'' is a grammatical article in English, denoting nouns that are already or about to be mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with nouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers. Pronunciation In most dialects, "the" is pronounced as (with the voiced dental fricative followed by a schwa) when followed by a consonant sound, and as (homophone of the archaic pronoun ''thee'' ...

It is printed in tabloid format, and also has an online edition. In October 2009, after being bought by Russian businessman Alexander Lebedev, the paper ended a 180-year history of paid circulation and multiple editions every day, and became a free newspaper publishing a single print edition every weekday, doubling its circulation as part of a change in its business plan. On 29 May 2024, the newspaper announced that it would reduce print publication to once weekly, after nearly 200 years of daily publication, as it had become unprofitable. Daily publication ended on 19 September 2024. The first weekly edition was published on 26 September 2024 under the new name of ''The London Standard''. New Standards (Kenny G Album)
''New Standards'' is the eighteenth studio album by American soft jazz saxophonist Kenny G, released on December 3, 2021, through Concord. Reception Editors at AllMusic rated this album 4 out of 5 stars, with critic Matt Collar writing that "Kenny G wryly inserts himself into the pantheon of American Popular Songbook composers performing and writing songs that feel as if they were written during the heyday of traditional pop in the '50s and '60s", featuring "hushed and intimate ballads with just enough R&B keyboard, bass, and guitar textures to keep things contemporary" that "capture the sound of traditional pop". Sebastian Scotney of ''The Arts Desk'' rated this album 1 out of 5 stars, writing that Kenny G's improvisation shows "sameness" and this music is inferior to jazz giants like Stan Getz. In ''DownBeat'', John McDonough gave ''New Standards'' 3 out of 5 stars, writing that this music has the "restful sensibility of the sound of" 1950s and 1960s jazz, continuing tha ...

The New Standard (Jamie Saft Album)
''The New Standard'' is an album by keyboardist Jamie Saft, bassist Steve Swallow and drummer Bobby Previte which was released on the RareNoise label in 2014. Reception In his review for Allmusic, Thom Jurek notes that "''The New Standard'' delivers a series of memorable modern compositions based on older forms but doesn't revel in nostalgia or irony. It's obvious from the end result how much these three massively talented players love this music, and it's quite logical how in such an informal setting, they reveal just how much there is to be discovered and learned from in them". On All About Jazz, Glenn Astarita said "In sum, the trio projects a refreshing slant, partly due to the respective musicians' distinctive and stylistic musical personas, that seamlessly transforms into this memorable spin on the conventional piano trio format".Astarita, G.All About Jazz Review June 18, 2014 Andy Boeckstaens in London Jazz News wrote "It is hard to believe that Saft, Swallow and Previte ...
